¡°Understanding and Peace¡± International Children¡¯s Culture and Art Festival held by the Confucius Institute in Ukraine

In order to celebrate the International Children¡¯s Day, the Confucius Institute at Kiev State Linguistic University in Ukraine held the ¡°Ukraine 2015 International Children¡¯s Peace and Art Festival?Understanding and Experiencing Chinese Culture¡±. A total of around 2,000 people attended this event, including members of the Ukrainian Parliament, members of the Kiev City Council, representatives from relevant youth organizations and intercultural communication institutes of different countries in Ukraine, and students from primary and secondary schools. A variety of activities were prepared for the participants to understand and experience Chinese culture, including Wushu, Chinese games, music, songs, dances, Chinese language experiencing class, calligraphy experiencing class, dumplings making, painting, paper-cutting, Chinese knot making, and an exhibition of handicrafts, which provided a window for the participants to understand Chinese culture more closely.
